One think we all have to appreciate about Narendra Modi lead bjp government is, Digital India. almost in every sector, government is trying to bring technology in place. today in real estate everything made digital, due to which black money playing its game is considerably reduced, most of the ministries are paying their beneficiaries through direct bank transfer ( thanks to Jan Dhan Yojana and Direct Benefit Transfer) again reducing corruption incurred by middle man.
Many people argue that government has no role in Digital India, all digital transformation happened due to Covid, people had no choice and all companies started pushing for digital. But statistics gives different perspective in this regard. Digital India was a campaign launched by the Government of India in 2015 itself, way before Covid , to make its services available to citizens electronically. Several initiatives were taken to boost digital India. DigiLocker is a digitization service provided by the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) was launched in 2015, UMANG Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance was launched in 2016, Rs 1,13,000 crore was allotted in 2015 Reference: Link . The 5G Spectrum auction generated revenue of over 1.5 lakh crore rupees and set the stage for the widespread deployment of 5G infrastructure across India during 2016 itself.
